I feel very much at home telling stories. My last major event was for IATEFL in Brighton when about 150 people came. I enjoy telling stories to all ages of listener.
Listening to stories is a highly participative activity! Many teachers seem to feel that it is passive. But the students must not only listen and make meaning from the foreign language but bring all the range of experience, perception and values to the activity.
I am always interested in invitations to tell stories either as part of a daily professional session or as part of a social event.
I am a member of the Society for Storytelling in Britain.
